Extending Love & Compassion
The Teresa Outreach Program extends the spiritual, emotional, and practical support of Teresa Ministries directly into marginalized communities, hospitals, and correction centers across Kampala, Uganda. We believe in providing active, hands-on care beyond our residential walls to reach individuals in extreme distress.
Our Program Goal
To demonstrate love and compassion by providing holistic care that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of prisoners, cancer patients, vulnerable families, and the elderly in our communities.
Core Outreach Initiatives
Prison Outreach Ministry
Bringing hope and rehabilitation support to inmates through structured weekly visits, prayer, counseling, and the distribution of basic necessities (soap, sugar, porridge, and rice) alongside annual December Christmas fellowships.
Operates on a weekly rotation: Kitalya on Mondays, Luzira on Wednesdays, and Kigo on Fridays.Cancer Patient Support
Conducting monthly visits to oncology wards to provide compassionate care, emotional counseling, and spiritual encouragement to patients and caregivers, alongside delivering personal care items.
Aims to improve spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial well-being during intense clinical treatments.Community Feeding & Elderly Care
Providing nutrition packages to households in economic distress and conducting dedicated home welfare checkups for vulnerable elderly persons in the Rubaga Division to promote social inclusion.
Involves regular distribution of dry food supplies and mobilization of community volunteers.
